  1. Give Your Unwanted / Unworn Clothes To Charity -

I take my clothes to recycling bank as I know they will be able to find a use for them. I also make rag rugs out of old clothes, but it’s a long task so I only manage one in a year as I’m a wee bit busy. I also think that freecycle (www.freecycle.org) is a good way to get rid of baby clothes as there are always other Mum’s in the area desperate for the next size up as babies grow up so fast!!!

  2. Make Your Own Greetings Cards -

I make cards and seel them to raise money for charity. I also keep all the cards that people give me, chop them up and recycle the pictures/wording into new cards or gift tags. It’s cheaper and recycles the cards in a way I can really apprecaite, rather than just bunging them in the recycling sack. I actually get to see the finished product.

  3. Encourage Others To Go Generous -

I regualarly put the advice from this site, and idea like it, into my church notices – and they’re really good as they normally run them for 3-4 weeks which means nearly all 200 members get to see them. My husband and I preach and we often talk about such actions in our sermons/services. It’s really encouraging when someone asks you for more information, and it may only be one person, but like the idea of this site says, many people doing small actions add up to big action!

  4. Make A Positive Lifestyle Change And Tell Us About It -

I made a lifestyle choice to loose weight when my Grandmother died from weight related illnesses. Doesn’t seem like that would have animpact, but I’m now exercising more, so not using the car, I’m eating more fresh fruit and veg (less produced and highly packaged food) and generally trying to make a difference to the lives of others not just myself! one and a half stone down (still some to go) I feel better, happier and like I can take on the world – which I intend to start doing thanks to this website!
