  1. Turn Off The Tap When Brushing Your Teeth -

Have also been trying to do this when washing my hands – I turn the tap off while lathering the soap on. It saves a heck of a lot of the wet stuff – just put the plug in and see how much you’d use otherwise.

  2. DIY vegetables! -

After dabbling with this last year, have gone all out and am turning my little garden into an allotment for the summer. It’s good fun, very therapeutic after a stressful day at work, really satisfying, and cheaper than filling your garden with flowers. And until you’ve tasted a carrot that you’ve only just picked, you haven’t lived.

Pumpkins and squash were the most satisfying and impressive of my crops, whereas french beans provided the most yeild for the least effort.

Give it a whirl. And get some funky wellies to help along the way. (Mine are a dashing shade of pink and I love them lots)

  3. Switch to Green Household Cleaners -

Is it just me, or is the smell of Ecover really nice? I use loads of their products and try to keep half squeezed lemons by the sink to wash up greasy pans – works way better than washing up liquid. Bicarb sprinkled on a carpet stain and then vacuumed up the next day worked pretty well too… until my vacuum cleaner died while trying to eat the fringing from a rug. I should be generous and try to get it fixed I suppose.
