  1. Shop locally -

We try to do all our fresh produce shop at the fortnightly farmer’s market at Barleylands, which we have found excellent value and quality. For the rest of our shopping we try to use the Coop because, as well as having a huge range of fairtrade products many of their own brand items are also very eco-friendly and, as an organisation they are very very ethically minded.

  2. Put A Save-A-Flush Device In Your Cistern -

I also got my hog from Greenbelt, along with about 20 others which I’ve given to friends. Just wondering – do they last forever or do they need renewing?

  3. Get Rid Of Some Of Your Books -

I emailed, using BCC of course, all my friends with the link for www.GreenMetropolis.com so they could have a look too. They are all bookworms and terrible hoarders but tend to head straight for Amazon online so I thought it would be good to give them an option.

  4. Wear Your 'Make Poverty History' Band -

Still wearing mine too in December 2006! Did feel dispondent but have been asked about it quite a number of times recently and it opens up an excellent opportunity to talk to people about the continuing unfair trade issues.
