  1. Recycle Your Old Mobile -

I’ve recycled about 7 or 8 old mobiles now (both DH and I used to get regular updates through work mobiles) I’m not really a mobile freak – I’ve had my current personal one about 18 months, and only got a new one then as I left the old one in Portugal by mistake! Last one was donated to my children’s school – they get the money from the recycling co then

  2. Pass On Those Unwanted Gifts -

I’m always doing this – I have to confess that some get recycled as gifts to other people. Other items are sometimes ebayed, freecycled , donated to charity shops or givedn to local school for tombola or raffle prizes.

  3. Become A Blood Donor -

HAve been donating on and off for about 11 or 12 years. Have had some gaps due to pregnancies (currently unable to donate until Oct 2006) and anaemia – but give whenever they let me! Have also encouraged DH to sign up – he has just made his 10th donation. Without such a service, I wouldn’t be alive – I received donated blood when I haemorrhaged (sp?) as a newborn.

  4. Don't just recycle, Freecycle -

freecycle’s great! what more can i say!

  5. Give Something Away - and declutter your life -

freecycle/ charity shops/ new stuff to schools for raffles/ tombolas – i’m trying to declutter but i hate to throw things away which might be useful – so all these ways help me junk the junk!

  8. Improve your home's energy efficiency -

have just had cavity wall insulation – half paid for by a grant. have added more insulation to loft and bought a stack of energy eff bulbs (cheap in asda). bought an A rated fridge freezer last year and looking to replace boiler this year. need to work on turning thermostats down – i love being hot!

  9. Recycle Your Greetings Cards -

i always recycle cards – don’t forget you can do it all year round – birthdays, anniversaries, easter etc…. clic collect them from my local school – so v easy for me to do

  10. Buy Nothing on Buy Nothing Day (November 26th) -

Well I managed this – although more by accident I think. I didn’t think I’d do it, as it was a Saturday & there’s the supermarket etc…... BUT, due to work being undertaken on our house I only popped out briefly to take the children to (prepaid) swimming lesson & that was it! Went to the supermarket on Fri instead. Hubby spent £2 on some cement for a hole in the floor though…...
