  1. Shop locally -

Always like to shop local but it’s not always possible so I’ve gone one step further and am growing my own – fingers crossed for a good harvest that I can also share with friends and neighbours.

  2. Stop Taking Plastic Bags From Shops -

This is so important – and is a campaign on the selfsufficientish website too – carry-a-bag!

Why not put your bags in front of your shopping – no doubt the shop assistant might get confused and try and find out how much they cost lol….

  3. Give Something Away - and declutter your life -

I use freecycle – have also freecycled a cockerel to a very good home where he has settled in right away.

It’s a great way to make friends too!!

  4. Don't just recycle, Freecycle -

I’ve been freecycling stuff bothways on the Aberdeen freecycle group! It’s fantastic and recommended to EVERYONE.

  5. Go Local - Join A Food Cooperative -

We are starting a food co-op in Aberdeenshire with the Neeps!
