  1. Give Thanks Before A Meal -

I’m a huge fan of eating my food very very hot so I always feel impatient when someone launches into a lengthy grace before I can tuck in. So instead of saying grace I’m going to light a candle just before each meal. That gives us all time to think – but not so long the food goes cold!

  2. Wear Your 'Make Poverty History' Band -

We got really animated watching the Vicar of Dibley episode last year, and have all been wearing our MPH bands since then. We also took part as a family in making a big band around Banbury during the G8 summit, which was brilliant as plenty of people asked what we were doing and then joined us. This serves really as a fresh resolution to keep doing it!

  3. Get someone to join the Generous Community -

Still puzzled about how to do this on the website! Kieran’s got himself on as ‘homeless’ because wee don’t understand how to link him to our household. David and Becky would love to join up so if anyone could let us know how to do this (and I suspect this is so embarrassingly easy too!) please let me know!

I’m Liz, into my 40s, married to David, mum to our two teenagers Becky and Kieran, and guardian to Mana who’s a Japanese student at school in the UK. We’re very excited to be joining this venture, especially just as the year turns into 2006. We also run a youthgroup at our local church, that will be looking at YOLG and thinking about how they can be part of the community too. Can anyone tell me how I join other members of my household to the same household? Currently our son Kieran is striking out on his own as homeless!
