  1. Give Thanks Before A Meal -

Our two children are good at reminding us if we forget to say grace. We are now putting together a “grace pot” – full of pieces of paper with graces old and new on them. At mealtimes we take it in turns to pick a grace and say it – unless someone wants to be spontaneous that is !

  2. Go Local - Join A Food Cooperative -

A group of us now have a monthly delivery from Daily Bread (www.dailybread.co.uk) and it works really well as they have a good range of products including Ecover (washing liquid in 5 litre containers), Suma and lots of fairtrade items. The only problem is that as the group coordinator (and delivery address) I am swamped by boxes for a couple of days every month !

  3. Become a Fair Trader - in your community or workplace -

My best friend is a Fair Trader and I’m a Tearcraft rep so between us we’re trying to promote as many fairtrade things as we can. Coming up to Christmas we’ve done the usual church things but also some jewellery parties and a “ladies pamper night” at a local school.

  4. Shower More, Bath Less -

Manage to shower most of the time – but there are times when on;y a bath will do to restore my sanity!! A long hot soak with no interruptions – makes me almost human. Younger kids still bath – but share the water.

  5. Give Your Unwanted / Unworn Clothes To Charity -

Have been taking adult clothes to a charity hop for a while, but with baby and kids clothes have passed them on to " Baby Store" a recycling project based in Bicester which gets clothes and baby equipment to those who really need it and provides a swopping facilty for anyone who wants to join in.

Mum at home with three chioldren aged 10,5 and 2. Huband called Pete who is boring Tax Manager by day and wannabe rock guitarist in his sare time (when are you too old to rock and roll!).
Co-ordinate a wholefood coop group, collect local organic veggie boxes and help run afair trade stall at church. Would like to grow my own veggies but am struggling against football playing sons and an escaping rabbit who eats anything she finds.
