1. Stop Taking Plastic Bags From Shops - 03 Aug 2007

   In Norway you have to pay for plastic bags at the supermarkets, so the assitants always ask you how many you want. I have gathered a collection of cloth bags now and take them with me 99% of the time. I don’t know alot of Norwegian but I can manage “I don’t need a bag thank you!” very well now… lol!

2. Give Your Unwanted / Unworn Clothes To Charity - 03 Aug 2007

   As I’m curerently slimming I have made the commitment to give all my “Fat” clothes to the local charity shop everytime I go down a clothes size. I also pass on all of my children’s clothes once they grow out of a size, mainly to friends with younger children or to the charity shop. I do the same with our pre-loved shoes too.

3. Shop locally - 03 Aug 2007

   We have just joined a organic veg box scheme and I do buy Fairtrade when I can find it. Norway’s shops don’t have a large variety in their produce so fairtrade products are limited as is organic produce (although its getting much better). I do shop at the Norway Co-op though, luckily for me they are the largest supermarket retailer here.
