  1. Recycle Your Old Mobile -

Can anyone tell me where’s good for sending broken phones for recycling? I only ever change my phone when it breaks (which, considering I’ve had Nokias and Motorolas all my life, is quite often – no offence to anyone but they’re rubbish!) so I have loads of broken phones and don’t know what to do with them!

  2. Become A Blood Donor -

I gave blood for the first time last night and am feeling rubbish today, very dizzy and ears keep popping weirdly enough! Is this normal? Want to do it again but a bit worried that there might be something wrong with me!!

  3. Start A Generous blog or journal -

I’ve just started doing this on my blog, so hopefully people will see it and want to join up too (or at least live more generously without joining). I’m going to try and do it every week.

  4. Put Your Money Where Your Heart is (Bank Ethically) -

I was really interested in smile and all ready to sign up, but then read the small print saying you have to pay £1000 a month. As I earn less than that, I can’t have a current account with them.

So which of the high street banks are best, as my ‘ethical option’ is out of the running?!

  5. Put Your Money Where Your Heart is (Bank Ethically) -

Another interesting question is banks v building societies, what do people think? Are they just the same these days?

  6. Sign Up Online To Become An Organ Donor -

I signed up when I was 13 but have been worried since I got married because I didn’t know whether my change of name would affect my listing. Anyway, just went on the link and amended my details (bit concerned because it didn’t ask for any of my original details but I suppose if there’s a problem they’ll get back to me.)

  7. Walking ... It's The Way To Go -

I need to get the train to work, but try to walk to the shops as much as possible. Have to admit the British weather does put me off though!

  8. Recycle Your Old Mobile -

Saw on ‘The One Show’ last night that Fonebak are giving £5 to Children in Need for every mobile they receive. Doubly generous! All you need to do is pop them in an envelope and send to ‘Freepost Fonebak’. I’m going to sort mine out tonight. (They said they can use broken ones too)

  10. Compost Your Leftovers -

We’ve just started composting a couple of weeks ago, but I have a random question. I have a loofah that’s gone a bit nasty and was thinking about cutting it up and composting it, does anyone know if that will work?

  11. Relieve The Postie - Get Your Bills Online Instead -

My problem with this is that if I need ID to apply for something (CRB, library card, pretty much anything these days) I’m going to need a recent bill or bank statement to prove my name and address. If I go paper-free with everything, I’ll be a bit stuck!!
